IMT Enugu; Alumni Association visits Acting Rector, expresses delights with his performances so far.
VP Monday Diamond commends Gov Mbah’s intervention on IMT as he performs a ground breaking ceremony.
The Acting Rector of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Dr Emeka Ejim PhD on Monday 23rd of July 2024 played host to the leadership of the IMT Alumni Association on a historic meeting and ground breaking ceremony of GO GREEN IMT.
The members of the IMT Alumni Association led by the National Vice President Hon Monday Diamond Ani JP(Odoziobodo) paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Rector Dr Emeka Ejim for familiarization and interface on how to move the institute forward.
In his opening speech,the cerebral National Vice President of IMT Alumni Association Hon Monday Diamond Ani on behalf of the Alumni Association expressed delight with the performances of the Acting Rector in a short period of time,describing him as a righteous man on the throne,with an enviable transformative foresight,young, vibrant,proactive, intelligent,team player and result oriented.
Hon Monday Diamond Ani also commended the Executive Governor of Enugu State His Excellency Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for the government interventions so far in IMT, revitalizing and remodeling the institute to a more competitive global standard in line with his disruptive ideological development in education.
In his welcome address,the Acting Rector who was flanked by the Acting Chief Librarian Dr Hyacinth Ugudu and HOD Fine and Applied Art Dr Fidelis Udenta expressed joy on the visit, eulogizing Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s constant and timely interventions to issues that bother the institute by providing the necessary support for the smooth running of IMT since he assumed office as the Acting Rector.
Dr Ejim emphasized on his administrative theory of Input, Process and Output with project targets which includes; prompt payment of staff salaries,improvement of academic standards; part of it is a soon-to-be launched E-result checking application code for the student to check his or her results online instead of the old analogue standard,soon to be unveiled Robotics 1 jointly built by the departments of Mechanical and Mechatronics in IMT,speedy admission and graduation processes,Project Go Green,cultivation of discipline and moral standards amongst the students of IMT and attracting potential developmental investors to the school ,one amongst them is the newly signed MoU with world class tech giant SIMBA for an ICT workshop in IMT.
The Acting Rector also emphasised on the need for a consolidated synergy between the institute and the Alumni Association for prompt transformational development of the school because the government alone can not do it all at all time.
Conclusively,in a historic turn of the visit,the Vice President of the Alumni Association and his team with the Acting Rector formally performed the ground breaking ceremony of the Project GO GREEN IMT with a high quality paint manufactured by students of IMT.
