Many Gains of Chief Dr. Stephen Onwudiwe Nwankwo’s Community Intervention.
Chief Dr. Nwankwo, a philanthropist of repute and a Leader of high intellect.
He has been a trailblazer and a committed advocate for community development and is worthy of emulation.
Chief Dr. Stephen Onwudiwe Nwankwo, who is an academic of repute, has been supporting underprivileged persons in society through his foundation, “Chief Stephen O. Nwankwo Children Literacy Foundation International”. This includes free JAMB registration and the awarding of full-time scholarships to some indigent students in the State.
Through this singular honour, Chief Dr. Stephen Nwankwo has helped the Children of the less privileged to achieve their goals and achieve greatness in life.
His Contributions to the socio-economic development of his hometown, Amechi Idodo, and Enugu State in general speak volumes, having, among other things, paid WAEC and NECO fees for Students of Comprehensive Secondary School Eziama for the past 13 years.
He single-handedly awarded educational support and full-time scholarships to many undergraduates from Amechi Idodo, Owo, Oruku, Amagunze, and beyond.
He has also provided rehabilitation to many roads and bridges within Amechi Idodo in Nkanu East LGA of Enugu State Nigeria.
Through the initiative, the Eziama-born philanthropist of repute provided financial aid to the Farmers in his community to improve their standard of living through Agriculture.
Beyond Agriculture, Chief Dr. Stephen Onwudiwe Nwankwo is also investing in sports with a view to using grassroots football tournaments to create platforms for young players to showcase their skills.
His words: After one of the yearly tournaments at Eziama Community Football Field stated that the competition showcases the talent and potential within our community.
I am delighted to support initiatives that promote sports and create opportunities for young people.
The Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, whose bold investment in sports is inspiring, and I pledge to build on these efforts to advance various sporting activities within Amechi Idodo, my beloved community.
His other charities include yearly Christmas gifts of foodstuffs, clothing, and cash to the people of Amechi Idodo and beyond.
Worthy to mention are his economic and social empowerment programmes, among which is the release of Eight Million to some youths in the community to engage in multi-purpose cooperatives to better their own lives.
Chief Dr. Stephen Onwudiwe Nwankwo also sponsored a free medical outreach programme for the people of Amechi Idodo and its environs with over 20 million naira, spent every year for the past 13 years.
It is cheering to note that our leader and mentor has facilitated many federal and state government jobs for many people of Amechi Idodo to create sustainable means of livelihood for beneficiaries.
