‎Njikoka – Uniting Progress: Harnessing Njikoka’s Education, Enterprise and Heritage
‎
1.‎*LGA Identity:*
‎*Njikoka* meaning “unity is greater” lives up to its name. It comprises Abagana, Enugwu-Agidi, Enugwu-Ukwu, Nimo, Nawfia and Abba. These are towns steeped in history, education, rich tradition and industriousness.
‎
‎Strategically located between Awka and Dunukofia, Njikoka has the human capital and geographic advantage to be a driving force in Anambra’s development. It’s unfortunate that its full potential remains underutilized due to inconsistent governance and weak infrastructure.
‎
‎2.*Key Challenges Facing Njikoka LGA:*
‎(i). Erosion and environmental degradation especially in Abagana and Enugwu-Ukwu.
‎(ii). Incomplete or decaying road infrastructure across townships.
‎(iii). Limited job opportunities for graduates and artisans.
‎(iv). Underfunded health and educational facilities.
‎(v). Weak state presence in community development and youth support.
‎(vi). Lack of tourism and cultural infrastructure despite huge potential.

‎3.*The Aspirations of the People:*
‎(i). Protection of their lands from erosion and environmental collapse.
‎(ii). Roads that connect the people to markets and cities.
‎(iii). A leader who values cultural heritage and modern opportunity.
‎(iv). Programs that support youth enterprise, education and skills training.
‎(v). Revitalization of schools, hospitals and town development.
‎
‎4.*Dr. George Moghalu’s Targeted Solutions:*
‎ (A). *Njikoka Erosion Control and Infrastructure Plan:*
‎(i). Begin erosion control works in Nimo –> Abagana corridor and Enugwu-Ukwu valley zones.
‎(ii). Reconstruct and complete major road links: Nimo–>Nawfia, Abagana–>Enugwu-Agidi and inter-township roads.
‎(iii). Introduce solar street lighting and water projects in underserved areas.
‎
(B).*Njikoka Education & Talent Acceleration Program:*
‎(i). Rehabilitate public secondary schools with ICT labs and teacher housing.
‎(ii). Sponsor Njikoka Smart Scholars with the aim of providing bursaries and digital tools for 1,000 indigent students.
‎(iii). Partner with private schools and churches to support curriculum innovation.
‎
(C). *Heritage Tourism & Cultural Economy Drive:*
‎(i). Develop Enugwu-Ukwu and Abagana hillsides into eco-tourism parks.
‎(ii). Launch an annual Njikoka Heritage Festival while celebrating traditional music, craft, and cuisine.
‎(iii). Partner with National Museums for community-led historical preservation projects.
‎
(D).*Njikoka Jobs and Enterprise Initiative:*
‎(i). Establish a Youth Business Hub in Abagana for business registration, training and micro-loans.
‎(ii). Train and empower 1,500 artisans and traders across the 6 towns with ₦200,000 tool grants.
‎(iii). Introduce a Community-to-Market Programme to promote locally made goods.
‎
‎(E). *Healthcare Revival Scheme*:
‎(i). Upgrade PHCs in Nawfia, Abba, and Enugwu-Agidi with labs, midwives and solar-powered fridges.
‎(ii). Provide mobile health outreach to hard-to-reach areas monthly.
‎(iii). Build a Women’s Health Support Centre for maternal and child health advocacy.
‎
‎5. *Why Njikoka Can Trust Dr. George Moghalu*
‎Dr George Moghalu will not let erosion wash away the dreams of Njikoka. Dr George Moghalu sees the power of tradition and the urgency of modern tools. Dr George Moghalu is ready to unify development across education, business and identity which is true to the meaning of Njikoka.
