The Commissioner for Works and
Infrastructure Engr Gerald Otiji said the Enugu State Government has started working from dusk to dawn to ensure that our roads are free from potholes.
The commissioner made the declaration while inspecting 9th Mile Road at night.
Engr Otiji confirmed that it was a directive from His Excellency Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah
to maintain the entrance and exit of Enugu Metropolis.
He said that the aim is to make our roads safe for road users and our brothers coming back for Christmas
Commissioner Gerald Otiji stressed that it’s another program of the Ministry to ensure that our roads are safe for residents in Enugu State and travellers who pass by to their various destinations.
He assured the residents in the State that the Governor has promised to continue to maintain roads in Enugu until all our roads are free from potholes.
Commissioner Otiji advised residents to exercise patience while the maintenance work is in progress as the roads will be completed within the shortest period.
