The chairman of Enugu State Board of Internal Revenue Service, Hon. Nnamani Emmanuel Ekene informed the agents and sub agents through the Board training officer, Mr Precious Onyenso C.J. that Enugu State government has launched a new digital tax system that would help the State eliminate fraud and intermediaries in revenue generation.
Mr. Onyenso C.J. commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for launching a tax platform that will generate money for government electronically via https://enugutekict.neg.which will help the State to maximise it’s revenue potential.
It will not only strength the State’s tax collection but would also promote economic growth and job creation.
The trainees were informed that every business owner in Enugu must contribute it’s fair share towards the growth of the State by paying tax to government.
With the expected increased revenue, the government can invest in infrastructure development, education, health care and other essential sectors that will uplift the lives of Ndi Enugu.
The agents and sub agents was trained on how to electronically collect money from markets/streets traders on behalf of Enugu State.
The trainees commended the board for giving them opportunity to serve and promised to live up expectation.
