Chief Dr. George Moghalu, the Labour Party Candidate in the forthcoming November 8th, 2025, Anambra State Governorship Election is pleased to announce the official selection of Mrs. Ifeoma Veronica Okaro as his running mate.

Following an extensive consultative process with party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots mobilizers across the state, Mrs. Okaro emerged as the consensus choice—bringing with her a compelling blend of administrative experience, academic depth, and a strong commitment to community development.

Mrs. Ifeoma Veronica Okaro hails from Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State. She is a seasoned public administrator, gender advocate, and educationist, with over four decades of professional experience in both public service and civil society engagements.

She is the incumbent President of Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU) Women Wing. She has also held various positions including Chairperson, Post Primary School Commission (PPSSC), and former Principal of Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) Onitsha.

Speaking on the announcement, Chief Dr. George Moghalu described Mrs. Okaro as “an accomplished woman of vision, discipline, and action,” emphasizing that her track record aligns perfectly with his mission to “rebuild Anambra through competence, integrity, and people-centered leadership.”

In a related development, the Labour Party candidate has finalized arrangements to inaugurate his State Campaign Council next week, marking a new phase in the strategic mobilization of voters and coordination of campaign activities across the 21 local government areas of Anambra State.

The Campaign Council will comprise a blend of seasoned politicians, technocrats, youth and women leaders, as well as representatives of various support groups, carefully drawn from all zones of the state. The Council will be tasked with deepening issue-based engagement with the electorate, highlighting the comprehensive development plan of Chief Dr. George Moghalu and Mrs. Ifeoma Okaro for Anambra State.

With the unveiling of Mrs. Okaro and the imminent inauguration of the Campaign Council, the Moghalu-Okaro ticket is set to intensify its voter engagement efforts and translate the growing momentum into electoral victory.
