*Anambra is a state of bravery not cowardice!*
By Sunny Igboanugo
It was in this same Anambra that Ngige rather than surrender the state’s till to economic brigands in order to survive in office, chose to be lacerated, bruised and nearly gave his life.
It was in the same Anambra that Peter Obi chose impeachment rather than offer bribe to his traducers to remain in office.
Today in the same Anambra because of the allure of power and dream of second term the people are being offered on platter to unrepentant enemies!
Just for an office that will expire you’re ready to subjugate your people to years of suffering and pain!
But they say we shouldn’t talk. Speak we must! Anambra people are not cowards. Mbadinuju fought. He ended with one term, but he fought.
Ngige took over and fought even harder. His nose was bloodied, his eyes were swollen, but he fought to the end.
Obi fought on the field and in courtrooms and ended up setting records.
But today they say it’s better to cringe like pale trembling cowards at the feet of our tormentors.
Let’s see how Anambra takes it. Let’s see how it goes. I hear there’s already rumblings in the firmament. He who desires his life shall lose it! I won’t say more!
