Dr George Moghalu: The silent storm poised to redefine Anambra 2025

Posted on June 1, 2025 by Sonia Onoja

*George Moghalu: The Silent Storm Poised to Redefine Anambra 2025*

It’s election season in Anambra, and the political atmosphere is buzzing with activity. Various parties have presented their candidates to the electorate, with noise and drama dominating many campaign camps. From loud proclamations to arrogant chest-thumping, it’s been a cacophony of ambition.

In the camp of the ruling party in Anambra, supporters have chosen to count their eggs before they hatch, boasting of minor achievements in road construction and last-minute security palliatives. But Ndi Anambra know better. These superficial attempts at pacification fall far short of the institutional development they were promised. Where is the automated governance in revenue collection? Where are the innovations in technology recruitment? Where is the Dubai-Taiwan dream?

Instead, under the current administration, entire communities were abandoned to the menace of insurgents. Families were left vulnerable, victims of executive neglect. The people of Anambra will not forget the pain and betrayal that marked this administration.

On the other hand, the national ruling party’s arrogance stinks of entitlement. To them, the quality of the candidate doesn’t matter. No clear vision for Anambra’s development, just a mission to add the state to their collection of controlled territories. They’re ready to throw federal money at the election – but Anambra is worth far more than just a budgetary conquest.

While the noisy contenders scramble for presidential attention, Chief Dr. George Nnadubem Moghalu, Ohamadike himself, is steadily walking into Agu Awka — with poise, purpose, and a people-first blueprint.

Behind the scenes, George has been skillfully mending internal cracks within his party. He’s not just campaigning — he’s connecting. Meeting Ndi Anambra across various fields, he convinces not with money or bluster, but with vision, character, and an unmatched development template.

George Moghalu is the embodiment of calm strength. A gentleman to the core, his personality is vibrant yet humble, his character untainted, and his life devoid of scandal. An ever-smiling leader who understands that service is not about noise — it’s about results.

George is rooted in greatness. A proud son of Nnewi — the Land of Gold (Edo) — renowned for its industrious and goal-oriented people. It’s no wonder his manifesto reflects this legacy: high productivity, people-driven policies, and empowerment at the grassroots.

Dr. George has served the public with distinction and dignity. From being Director-General of Abia State’s Ministry of Information and Culture (1993–1994), to his stellar performance as MD/CEO of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) from 2019–2023 — his record is proven, and his hands are clean.

Let’s be clear: if proximity to Aso Rock decides the election, then George is the man. A founding and caucus member of the national ruling party, he has long had the ears of the power brokers in Abuja. But unlike others, he doesn’t use it as a bragging point. He doesn’t need to — his work speaks louder than any name-dropping.

Educated, experienced, and exceptionally composed, George Moghalu is a storm — silent but certain. A force of progress that will sweep across Anambra, not with noise, but with results.
