Enugu APC Grassroots Leaders Engage Stakeholders on Party’s Future
The Foot Soldiers of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Enugu State, a coalition of past Area Council Candidates from the 2024 Local Government Elections, have reaffirmed their commitment to building the party’s strength at the grassroots level as preparations for 2027 gather momentum.
Led by their Chairman, High Chief Hon. Fidelis Nwobodo C, along with Hon. Frank Udeh (Secretary), Hon. Comrd. Obumneme Chibuzor (Public Relations Officer), and Hon. Ejike Ogbonna (Financial Secretary), the delegation met with notable APC stakeholders including Gen. Sunday Ugwu and Hon. Dr. Ben Nwoye.
During the meeting, wide-ranging discussions were held on strategies to deepen grassroots engagement, strengthen party structures, and position APC for success both at the state and national levels. The forum reiterated its guiding motto, Victory begins at the grassroots, stressing that the empowerment and mobilization of communities remain central to electoral victory.
Commending the delegation, Dr. Ben Nwoye praised the Foot Soldiers for their self-sponsored campaigns during the 2024 elections, describing their efforts as a reflection of commitment, patriotism, and loyalty to the party. He encouraged them to sustain their momentum, referring to them as the ward force that represents APC’s strength across local governments in the state.
In the same spirit, Gen. Ugwu applauded the candidates for their resilience, noting that their participation in the elections helped project the party’s image in Enugu politics. He urged them to continue mobilizing grassroots support and to highlight the party’s developmental agenda for Nigeria.
Looking ahead, the Foot Soldiers pledged their continued support to the party’s leadership and emphasized the importance of unity in building a stronger APC in Enugu. They also expressed openness to broader collaborations, calling on stakeholders across the political spectrum to work for the peace, growth, and development of the state.
Above all, the forum reaffirmed its commitment to contributing meaningfully to the progress of Enugu State, while sustaining its drive to ensure victory at the grassroots level. In this regard, the Foot Soldiers of Enugu APC pledged their support for *His Excellency Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah* to join the party in the State to enable power reside on the side of the party for the continuous growth and development of our dear State, Enugu.
