MOGHALU: ANAMBRA CAN LEAD NIGERIA IN POWER AND INFRASTRUCTURE
The Anambra Labour Party governorship candidate, Dr. George Moghalu (Ohamadike), has issued a clarion call to Ndi Anambra to unite behind a shared vision for the reclamation and rebuilding of Anambra State. Speaking at a gathering of the Igboezue Association in Lekki, Lagos, chaired by the association’s president, Chief Tony Obinugwu, Dr. Moghalu emphasized that meaningful change requires grassroots participation and collective resolve. “Victory demands a shared dream, a united front, and people determined to shape their destiny. I cannot do this without you,” he told the audience.
He addressed the urgent need to restore security in Anambra, describing it as the foundation for any meaningful development. He decried the climate of fear that has disrupted daily life and crippled the state’s economy, pledging to prioritize peace and public confidence. Dr. Moghalu also criticized the poor quality of infrastructure, particularly roads that fail after one rainy season, attributing the problem to weak leadership and lack of accountability.
Highlighting the recent deregulation of electricity, he called it a golden opportunity for Anambra to lead Nigeria in energy independence. “If any state should pioneer power reform, it is Anambra. The capacity is there, we just need the leadership,” he said. Dr. Moghalu concluded with a passionate call for unity and people-oriented governance: “Together, we can deliver the kind of leadership our people truly deserve.”
