Moghalu assures LP delegates of a free and fair Senatorial Primary as Nzeribe and Anagwu vie for the ticket

MOGHALU ASSURES LP DELEGATES OF FREE AND FAIR SENATORIAL PRIMARIES

…… _Calls for brotherly contest as Nzeribe and Anagwu vie for ticket_

NNEWI — Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Anambra State, Dr. George Moghalu, has aassured party delegates of a transparent and credible senatorial primary ahead of the August 16 bye-election in Anambra South.

Addressing the delegates on Sunday afternoon, 20th of July 2025, at the Anaedo Social Club, Nnewi North, Moghalu urged aspirants and stakeholders to approach the process with unity and brotherhood.

“This is not a battle, but a contest among brothers. Let’s show Nigerians the Labour Party can lead by example,” he said.

Hon. Chuma Nzeribe (Ihiala) and Hon. Emeka Anagwu (Nnewi South) are the contenders for the party’s ticket in the race occasioned by the passing of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah.

Dr. Moghalu emphasized the importance of internal democracy in promoting party discipline and public trust. He expressed gratitude for the delegates’ support during the flag-off and disclosed that his campaign team would commence a local government tour this week.

Anambra South Senatorial District comprises seven LGAs: Aguata, Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Ihiala, Ekwusigo, Orumba North, and Orumba South.
