Recall that Mohbad had in a video that went viral after his death claimed he was arrested by law enforcement agents.
The Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Command has said that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) is being investigated over the death of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, who disclosed on Friday, said that the NDLEA is being investigated to see if they are complicit based on MohBad’s video when he was arrested by the agency.
Recall that Mohbad had in a video that went viral after his death claimed he was arrested by law enforcement agents.
The late singer had said in the viral video that “They gave me water inside a white bottle to drink. They said I was using drugs. I was the only one who drank it; they didn’t give others to drink. And they immediately told me to go home and told the others to wait.
“They even hit a gun on my head. I saved Zino in that video but Zino snitched on me, ” he said in the video.
As part of the ongoing investigation by the police to unravel the actual cause of Mohbad’s death, the Lagos State Police Commissioner said, “The NDLEA is also being investigated to see if they are complicit based on his video during the arrest.”
